Hear ye Hear Ye

Hi, everyone! Today was our 4th meeting and I really look forward to our chats every Monday -they keep me energized for the rest of the week!

Today we talked about applying for your CA business license and DBA. Betsy helpfully provided handouts and packets on paying taxes. Thanks, Betsy!

I'm posting everyone's deliverables as well as achievements below - feel free to add more if you are feeling especially motivated! Going around the table clockwise:

Kelly

Achievements
Gallery show at Bedford Gallery (I know this happened two weeks ago, but she deserves credit for the entire month!)

Deliverables
Finishing her order of jewelry and other Realia bits for a store in Oregon. Go Kelly! Also bringing in info about turning one's craft into a business.

Betsy

Achievements
Learned how to build canvas stretchers and got two built. Sourced a place to buy finished plaques for her taxidermy. She also looked at possible studio space in San Francisco.
Deliverables
Finish up two more heads and get her canvases stretched on the stretchers, though this might not be possible this week.

Amelia
Achievements
Amelia has been working on a line of upcycled accessories and brought in a beautiful ring and cup cozy, both made from cashmere. She also started thinking about branding for her line. Amelia was also invited to be a judge for Bazaar Bizarre.
Deliverables
Creating a colorway for her line of rings and possibly signing up for table space at Bazaar Bizarre.

Kpoene'

Achievements
Kpoene' draped a lining for her dress and is 3/4 finished with it. She also looked at studio space this week and thought about what she might need from a studio.

Deliverables
Finish the dress and post it on Etsy. Research other studio spaces in the area.

Next week's meeting will be held at 8:30 in the Ferry Building, so mark your calendars!
